Hello! My name is Kyra. I am 23 years old. I am a Wisconsin native, born and raised. It’s a dream career of mine to work with children and I am currently nearing my graduation date at MATC, in which I will earn my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. In my free time, I enjoy building Legos, doing puzzles, going on walks with my dog, Darla, and most of all, shopping! I love watching Wisconsin sports and spending time with my family.
Hi! I’m Morgan, but I usually go by Mo. I started caring for children as a preteen and, once I graduated high school, I became a nanny. In 2020, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UW Milwaukee in Pre-Occupational Therapy. During my studies, I took classes on human and life development, lifespan through the ages, child psychology, and other childcare related courses. While studying at UWM I worked at the campus daycare in the infant and toddler classrooms, which helped shape my childcare philosophies. I have been a career nanny for 10 years now, working with children of all ages and a variety of needs. I also have experience volunteering in church nurseries and I’ve been abroad twice on volunteer trips where I took care of children and occasionally volunteered in a preschool.
My childcare philosophy focuses on gentle care, play-based learning, and validating children’s feelings and development. I value and focus on encouraging children’s individual strengths, skills, interests, and abilities to assist with their learning and growth. My favorite thing about working with children is that they bring out your inner child and keep you young. Watching little ones learn about and explore the world with childlike wonder is by far, my favorite aspect of my childcare career.
