Although we have not been actively setting the Table for most of the year, the Altar Guild has met twice to polish the silver communion vessels, and the silver and brass candlesticks and crosses. The Altar linens have also been laundered and replaced.
Many thanks to Deacon Sheila Scott for her expertise and willingness to fill in for us during the pandemic after worship resumed in June of this year. Altar Guild members are now, once again, setting the Table and cleaning up after service.
We began in Advent to provide homemade communion bread, and at Father Lane’s suggestion, we will begin using rice crackers as our gluten-free offering.
I am happy and pleased to announce that Eric Dawson has agreed to be Co-chair of the Altar Guild. We welcome new members to participate in this meaningful ministry.
