Several of our parishioners live in Sherman Park and last week, two of them, Cathy and David Simpson, were present at Washington High School for the groundbreaking of the new athletic field. Common Ground started this campaign almost seven years ago when we were working in Sherman Park on the housing foreclosure issue and we exposed the inequities in athletic fields in MPS schools vs the outlying suburban schools.
