November 6: Philosophy and Democracy
Both Western philosophy and democracy originated in Ancient Greece. Thus, philosophers throughout the ages have had their critiques of democracy, as well as arguments in support of it. This presentation will give a brief overview of Western philosophers from the time of Plato to the modern era, and their opinions on politics. Through this brief survey, it should be clear why voting is important, as well as why we should cherish our republic.

November 20: Native Americans in Wisconsin
In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, we will be examining the history of Native Americans in Wisconsin. Native Americans arrived in Wisconsin roughly 10,000 years ago, and have a rich history which spans to the present day. This presentation will examine the history of Native Americans in Wisconsin, as well as discuss the current issues facing this population today
