Upcoming Events
January 27th: For our Sunday School art project, we’ll be creating the “Alleluias” for the Shrove Tuesday supper.
February 2nd (Saturday), Noon: St. Paul's Sunday School will be hosting an ice skating party. All children 18 and under, and their parents, are welcome to attend. We'll meet at the St. Paul's at Noon, then all head downtown to the outdoor ice rink in Red Arrow Park. If we arrive as a group, skate rentals will be only $2.00 instead of the usual $5.50. Bring your own skates and you can skate for free!
The group will be allowed to skate until 2:30, if we want. Afterwards, we can come back to St. Paul's for cookies and hot chocolate. We hope to see you there!
February 3rd: For our Sunday School art project, we’ll be creating the “Alleluias” for the Shrove Tuesday supper.
February 5th (Tuesday), 6 pm: St. Paul’s annual Shrove Tuesday supper. Celebrate the coming of Lent with an array of tasty soups. Attendees, who want to, can bring a salad or dessert to share. As is the tradition at St. Paul’s, the children present will help lock up the “Alleluias” in the church tower – where they will remain trapped until being released on Easter Sunday. We’ll also have an informal talent show – everyone (young and old) is encouraged to show off their own special talent.
February 29th (Friday), 7 to 9 pm: St. Paul’s Under-the-Hill group is sponsoring a family game night at the church. Bring your favorite game along and join the fun. Desserts and hot chocolate will be provided to keep everyone’s sugar level up.
March 16th (Palm Sunday): We will not have Sunday School this Sunday.
March 23rd (Easter Sunday): We will not have Sunday School this Sunday.
March 23rd (Easter Sunday): Approximately 10 minutes before the 10:15 am service, all children present are welcome to join us in the Narthex (the main entrance to the church). We’ll be bringing the “Alleluias” down from the church tower, where they have been trapped since the Shrove Tuesday supper. The children will then carry the alleluias in the opening procession to show everyone that the “Alleluias” have been freed.
March 30th: Sunday School returns after a two-week break.
May 18th: Sunday School finishes its 2007-2008 academic year. See you again in September!
All Children's Ministries volunteers may be subject to reference and background checks as part of St. Paul's commitment to ensure the safety of all children.
